Our Mission

The Townsend Tennessee Chamber of Commerce exists to support local businesses, strengthen our community, and protect the character that makes Townsend special. Since being chartered in 1992, the Chamber has worked to connect business owners, residents, and visitors while promoting responsible growth that respects the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

We serve as a trusted resource for businesses, an advocate for economic vitality, and a welcoming guide for those discovering the Peaceful Side of the Smokies.

Highland Manor Inn

Highland Manor Inn is a well-established Smoky Mountains hotel located in Townsend, Tennessee, known for its peaceful setting and scenic mountain views. Little River Railroad

The Little River Railroad and Lumber Company operates a historic museum in Townsend, Tennessee, focused on preserving and interpreting the legacy of the Little River Railroad and the Little River Lumber Company. Established as a nonprofit organization in 1982, the museum collects, preserves, and exhibits photographs, documents, tools, and artifacts that tell the story of the railroad, logging industry, and the people who lived and worked in the region.
